Sports has been my passion since I can remember, starting in preschool. My parents signed me up for tee ball and pee wee soccer, they cheered me on, and I have gratitude for those early positive experiences. Since 9 years old I was on a traveling softball team. Having my parents support then and now has meant so much to me. My teammates are like family members too, and I can't imagine highschool without my large "family." Playing softball at the collegiate level is my dream, and I continue to work hard to make my dream come true.
Having the privledge of being a three sport athlete (softball, volleyball, and basketball), I have learned a lot. I've learned to work successfully with different personalities, both on and off the field. Also, I've learned responsibility and communication -- if I need to leave school early for a game, I communicate with my teachers ahead of time so I can get my assignments turned in. And in college I will continue to learn and be responsible, and I whole heartedly intend to be a student-athlete.
Of all my sports endeavors, softball has been my favorite. 2022 Spring and Fall season, I played on the Iowa Elite 18u and learned a lot from my teammates that graduated. This fall season of 2023, I’m playing on Central Iowa Kaos on one of the 18u teams. I'm a right-handed pitcher and infielder, and have been a starter on the high school varsity team since being a Freshman at Columbus. I'm proud to have received two honorable mentions. Sophomore season I was honored to accept 2nd-team all conference pitcher, and an all-area honorable mention at Columbus. For my junior and senior year of high school I’m transferring to Waterloo West High School. I love my softball family and look forward to the next chapter in life which will be college.
Self driven and motivated, with energy in reserves, I plan to go to college for a degree in aviation. I want to find the best fit college where I will be challenged and grow both academically and athletically. I hope to share my knowledge someday with the younger generation and instill the same appreciation of sports and healthy competition to others.
