My name is Erika Knapp. I was born and raised in Tucson Arizona. I am currently enrolled as a sophomore at Millard West and predicted to graduate in the year 2022. I play softball and have played since I was eight years old and I am still playing. I play first base, catcher, and outfield. I am also left-handed. I played my freshman year as a starting catcher for the Reserve Millard West Softball Team. I took a break this summer to focus on my health and to recover from my knee injury. After freshman year I was diagnosed with Patellofemoral pain disorder and attended physical therapy for nine or more weeks. I am not fully recovered but stretch and do workouts to help my knee every week. I feel like I promote a lot of leadership qualities that will benefit being on your team. For example, I am the second oldest out of seven siblings and the oldest female sibling. I babysit a lot of my siblings and family friends. I participate in a leadership group at my school called FCCLA, (Family, Career, Community Leaders of America). This club has given me plenty of leadership opportunities with volunteer events, and leadership conferences. I feel like my grades are average but will always need improvement. I take an advanced placement world history class, I really enjoy this class and find history really fascinating which most people I know feel the exact opposite. Finally, I am a hard worker and will do everything I can to be on your team.
