Personal Statement

I would like to earn a degree in secondary education with emphasis in sports management and coaching. My desire is to impact the next generation by teaching them History or English and Physical Education.  My belief is that you can have a strong mind or a strong body, but even better when you decide to exercise both for a lifetime of complete fitness.

I have strong work ethics and am able to persevere through challenging events. My current primary positions are catcher and middle infield. I have been described by previous and current coaches as being extremely coach-able, very quick hands,  having very good range and read on the ball, great ability to anticipate the play, and being able to follow up with a strong throwing arm which in essence allows me to adapt to any position.

I have been involved with many realms of different athletic programs and sports. Continually since the age of 9, I found myself unable to wait until the next softball season to begin again.  It was after 8th grade that I decided to focus solely on softball. I played during the fall high school season and continued to be involved with a competitive summer season program.

As I enter my final high school softball season and making important decisions as to which college to attend, I can't grasp the idea of not considering playing college softball, a sport that has taught me so many life lessons and shaped me into the person I am today and still growing to be.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
