June 2013Personal Statement
My name is Taylor Torre and I will be a 2014 graduate of Old Bridge High School, located in Old Bridge, New Jersey. I have played varsity softball since my sophomore year and I also play for the Central Jersey Tornado travel team. My primary position is third base but I can play anywhere on the field. I bat clean-up for both teams that I play on. Last varsity season I received the Offensive Player of the Year award. Along with that, I am a very competitive, determined and hardworking player. I am a good leader of my teammates and I am coachable. On the other hand, I take academics seriously and perform well in school. I have a GPA of 4.8. When searching for colleges, I would like a school to challenge me academically and athletically. I am still undecided with my major, but I am leaning towards mathematics teacher. With that, I am excited to contribute to a competitive softball program and to help further its success.
