Personal Statement
Ever since I started playing softball when I was 8 years old it has been the most important thing in my life. I have such a strong passion for this sport. As I get older my love for softball continues to grow. It is so much more than just a sport to me, I have grown and learned so many things from playing softball. I have met new people who push me, I have learned what work ethic is, and I would not be the person I am today without softball. My ability to persevere, my optimism, and learning to be a leader are all qualities I have acquired from playing the sport I love the most. The more I play softball and the more I learn, the stronger these qualities get and the more qualities I gain. I wholeheartedly aspire to have the opportunity to continue my softball career at the next level.
Academics are just as important to me as athletics are. Not only do I focus so much on my own academics, but I love to help others and teach and learn things from my peers to help better my education and theirs. Softball has given me life skills that have helped me to be a better student in the classroom so that I can be even better on the field.
I am extremely driven and I have very high expectations for myself, I plan to achieve all of the goals I have for myself. I love helping others and being a leader. I believe and understand that a team works as one. I also know that playing at the next level takes dedication and work. I will not only be an elite athlete, but I will be an elite student and person. I will represent your team and university in a positive way in all aspects.
