Maddy Myers '19 Recruiting Profile

My passion for softball is what drives me to be competitive and excel in athletics and academics.  Being a student athlete has given the opportunity to develop a great work ethic. As a freshman, I have been the starting shortstop on my varsity softball team at my high school. I contribute this accomplishment to the fact I have been playing this sport, that I love, since I was six years old. I have worked extremely hard to compete with girls older than myself and maintain excellence in the classroom. 

My ultimate goal is to play collegiate softball. Realizing that I have the ability to play at that level makes me want to continue to work hard and improve my game.  I am a team player who can offer the commitment to always work hard and never give up.

When selecting a college I am open to going anywhere. I would like to find a school that fits my needs. My main goal is to receive a good education and play softball. I am looking for a program where I can hopefully be an impact player and make a difference. My top choice for a major, as of right now, is Education. I would like to either teach elementary school and coach or work with a college softball program as a recruiting coordinator.
