Amber Hunte '22 Recruiting Profile

My life has been heavily influenced by my mom and dad, since my mom is a nurse and my dad was in the military, which means, they both are heroes in a way.  I want to continue to influence others by being a role model, like my mom and dad.  It's important that I'm a good athlete and having good grades so I can help others whose parents do not care about their sports or academics like mine do.

Everyone has obstacles they go through in their lifetime.  An obstacle that I have overcome is my first travel coach told me that I wasn't good enough to play softball, so he put me in right field where the balls were rarely hit and I always batted eighth or ninth.  Years later, I am a starter for my middle school team, hitting second and on my travel team hitting lead off or fourth in the lineup.
