Going into my freshman year, I was excited for softball. I had played high school softball my 8th grade year, but I was really looking forward to that year. I had started playing travel ball the summer of 8th grade and my passion for the sport had grown immensely. I’ve played softball since I can remember, and playing softball gives me great joy. My favorite part is the friendships that can be built and passion that everyone shares for the sport together. My goal for college is to go into the psychology major and eventually become a clinical psychologist. I get good grades as I hold a 3.7 out of 4.0 GPA. My greatest strength would be my throwing, hand-eye coordination, and my willingness to work at what I want to achieve. Having a good arm is a very big thing in the outfield and the hand-eye coordination is very helpful when catching. I’m always willing to work my hardest to get where I want to go, even if it’s not the easiest route to go down. I am very positive to others and help to bring them up when they may have made a mistake on the field. Being a leader is also something that I’ve been working towards. Being a leader doesn’t mean just being the captain of the team, it means being someone that people can look up to, follow, trust, and ask questions to improve their skills of the sport. Softball is one of my greatest passions and I would love to continue to compete at a higher level!
