Stevie Forte '16 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goal is to be accepted to attend a University offering my field of study.

I have played competitive basketball every year since the age of 5. I can not imagine not playing. I hope to find a team where I will fit in the roster. I do not have a NCAA division preference. I want to play for a coach I respect, can learn from, and who will strengthen my game. I want to play with a team I can help achieve their goals by adding my skills, commitment, and genuine team effort into making that happen.  I am currently taking 3 A/P courses and have a 3.98 GPA. I am scheduled to take the SAT.  I am our High School Varsity team high scoring member with 105 points so far this year (13 pts/game) and most blocks for the team at 19 (2.3/game) as of 12/31/14 (8 games total).  Last year (10th grade) I was Team Captain of the Varsity team, had the most blocks at 40 and was named to the 2nd team All Conference.  My strength is in 3 point shots and defense.  I have been told by all of my coaches that I am "very coachable."  This year our coach, who comes from the ODU Women's Basketball Staff, has emphasized conditioning, effort, shooting, and teamwork as I am the tallest starter on our team at 5'9.5.  Respecting each other and playing as a team has gotten us to a 6-2 record vs teams with girls over 6'.  We are family. I hope to play basketball for the next 5 years (or more).
