Cecilia Billings '15 Recruiting Profile

My name, is Cecilia Elizabeth Billings, but I go by Ceci. I chose this nickname because of its unique spelling and yet still true to my given name which was my great grand-mothers.

I am a shooting guard for my high school varsity basketball team and this year we made it to the VISAA Division III Final Four Championships, where we lost to the eventual state champions.

As a basketball player I am a very strong defender; have excellent shooting form; and make 75% of my free throws. I have a true passion for defense; respect for my coaches; and possess strong leadership qualities. I am a positive person even though losses hurt, being that I'm extremely competitive. I love to cheer for my teammates on and off the court, whether in practice or during games. I have a hard work ethic and always give 100%. I am a coachable athlete; mentally tough; and can take criticism. I love the game of basketball.

I am a serious student who has been on honor roll the entire year and have been appointed an ambassador for my school, Middleburg Academy. One of my goals this year was to be a triathlete and I accomplished this by also playing tennis & lacrosse. Enjoy traveling and have had the pleasure of being asked to take on a leadership role with my school for a trip abroad during the summer of 2015. In my spare time I enjoy working with younger children teaching them how to read by participating in a local Readers Are Leaders Program as well as teaching them the the fundamentals of basketball thru a local church.
