Emma Kunz '20 Recruiting Profile

I began my lacrosse career at age 8 in Northport, NY. Several years later after my family moved to Ramsey, NJ I started playing for the Building Blocks Lacrosse North New Jersey club team in 8th Grade and in 9th Grade was a starting defender for the Ramsey High School Varsity Lacrosse Team. Over the years I have become skilled with trying new defensive methods other than man to man, such as zone defense and have the ability to adapt quickly to different situations on the field. Additionally, different enviorments have taught me to handle the ball well and shoot accurately with both hands when needed. I also love running new plays in games and occasionally being asked to sub in for other positions (I have learned a bunch or new plays throughout the towns I have lived in). I also currently play on the JV Soccer Team as the Goalie and will be staying in shape over the winter by pursuing High School Swimming. I typically get As and B's in school, and currently take Honors Chemistry, English, History, and Accounting. This has allowed me to stay organized and on top of getting my homework done and keeping my commitments to sports. I live with my Mom, Dad, and younger sister Abby. I also enjoy spending time with them and my friends during the summer at my Grandparents' house at the beach on Eastern Long Island. Abby and I sail at the Orient Yacht Club in Orient, NY (LI) and we also love to swim, and fish, and go tubing during this time. I also volunteer through my church and will be volunteering with our Ramsey Youth Town Lacrosse Program this Spring. This has lead me to become a well-rounded person and athlete.
