As a three sport varsity athlete, I am a very determined, coachable player, with high energy, high endurance, and quick feet. I decided to play lacrosse in 8th grade because my mom played in college and I thought it would be fun. I knew I would not be the best, but that did not stop my tenacious spirit from continuing to practice. I practice outside of official practices, sometimes with my mom, who gives me helpful tips for improvement. I am always looking to improve, and I see failure as an opportunity to work harder and get better. As a junior, I am staying fit throughout the fall and winter seasons with varsity soccer and Nordic skiing, along with weekly weight training and occasional running.
I want to play lacrosse in college because I want to be part of a team. Lacrosse is a sport that feels like family, and I want to spread that feeling into college. I've experienced leadership roles with being co-captain in varsity soccer, vice president of my class, having a job as a lifeguard, and with national honors society. I am interested in (but not limited to) a career in physical therapy, exercise physiology, and/or coaching. I am a hard working, highly motivated student, with extracurriculars of playing the flute, doing musicals (this year I am the lead in Matilda the Musical), and doing Area-All State for band and chorus.
