I didn't start out being a lacrosse goalie. I was a soccer goalie, which I loved until high school when I couldn't play anymore due to a timing conflict with another sport. My twin sister who plays lacrosse gave me the idea to try out. I went to a lacrosse camp that summer and instantly fell in love. The atmosphere and the people in lacrosse are so different from any other sport. They are so welcoming and kind and willing to teach the game. That's when lacrosse became my home, my family. I love learning and that's when I found my love for lacrosse in the goal. I always want to be better whether its in athletics or academics and I look forward to going to a place that will challenge me in both. Its important to me to always give 100% all the time.
One of my biggest strengths as a goalie is my ability to have a short term memory. If I get scored on I don't dwell on it, I reset and get my head back in the game. Every day I try to better my game with practicing drills whenever I have time. As a goalie I believe leadership is extremely important. I constantly work on my communication skill to make me a better leader and to help my team work better together. It's always my goal to bring my team to the height of their abilities. I love to help people and to solve problems. My dream besides playing lacrosse in college is to become a school counselor and use what I have learned from lacrosse to be a great leader and counselor and to be a role model for young kids.
