Over my life time I have played many different sports, but with lacrosse I found my true passion. I come from a sports centered household and grew up playing football and basketball. When I was in 6th grade I found lacrosse. I instantly was drawn to the fast pace and intensity of the game. I started playing goalie, and at first I was hesitant, but as time went on I grew into my position. I now love goalie because I play a big part in determining the outcome of games also I like the adrenaline of saving a shot. Ever since I started playing I have learned many different lessons and skills such as speed, teamwork, hustle, and perseverance. In high school so far I have played starting goalie on the varsity lacrosse team. Freshmen year I also decided to go back to football and became the first female football player in the county. I learned things from this experience that helped me in all areas of my life Including lacrosse. I have become tougher, more resilient, and have better field vision. I also played basketball my first 2 years of high school as the starting point guard which helped develop my leadership skills. Going into my junior year of high school I plan to primarily focus on lacrosse by attending many camps and training programs, including a goalie training camp this summer.
I am really excited to continue playing lacrosse in college. I am looking for a school that will give me the opportunity to explore all my passions which also include film and photography. I also hope to find a team as engaged in the community as my high school team is with similar opportunities such as helping out at the Still Brave fundraiser for pediatric cancer. I am looking forward to this journey.
