When I started competitive soccer 8 years ago on the '03 North Bay Elite Futbol Club, several of my teammates had already played a couple of years on the team. I was the new player and felt a bit intimated because I didn't know a lot of the girls and I wasn't sure if I had what it takes to play at that level. Through determination and lots of hard work, my confidence grew and I soon became the top goal scorer. As co captain for 3 years, I learned important leadership skills on and off the field, to include communication, encouragement, and collegial feedback. I also have had the privilege of starting for the Davis High School junior varsity team last year and am a starter this year on the Varsity team (ranked #7 in nation) as a sophomore in the #11 position. Because I am determined to continuously improve my skills I work hard at practice, train with a private trainer, and often spend time working with the ball on my own. I received the "Most Improved Player" award for my High School Varsity season 2019. Wanting to further challenge myself and play at the highest level possible, I transferred to the 03 ECNL Team at Davis Legacy Soccer Club as a starting forward. Currently I am a starter and one of the top goal scorers for my team. Because of my hard work on the field I have also been invited to participate in PDP North U15-17 State.
As with soccer, I strive to achieve my best in school. I earned a 4.4/4.40 GPA, take AP, Honors and Accelerated classes, and scored in the 91st percentile on the PSAT this October. My college academic interests include health science and art. I am leaning towards attending an academic institution on the west coast, but am also considering other locations throughout the nation.
