My goal is to become a nurse or a paramedic after high school. I hope to attend a college that offers my major as well as allowing me to maintain a job. Soccer has been a huge part of my life from the start. Every memory I have from my younger childhood involves me and a ball. Soccer acted as a coping mechanism for the latter portion of my younger childhood and helped me get through some very rough times. I believe I would make a good addition to your team because of my perseverance, my drive, and my willingness to learn. I was forced to grow up at a pretty young age and in turn, I am typically more mature than those surrounding me. I moved out of my parents home at 17 and never really gave it a second thought. My athletic background goes back to when I was about 4 or 5, I played every season of every version of soccer you could think of; sand (which I enjoyed immensely), indoor, league, club, and rec. My academics have always come before anything else however. I have faced many obstacles to get to where I am now from an academic standpoint. Although I was presented with these challenges, I persevered and decided I was not going to take the easy route and just drop out, even though I was given ample reasons to do so. I am an extremely resilient person and I refuse to give up in the face of adversity.
