Personal Statement

I am from Houston, Texas and I currently play for my high school varsity team and a club team (Challenge '03), which plays in the Texas Champions league.  At school I play outside mid and sometimes drop back to help run the defense.  In club, I play outside mid and forward.  I consider myself a versatile contributor and leader to any sports program and am happy to play the position that best suits the team.

I am looking to play collegiate level soccer and also get an excellent undergraduate degree in marine or environmental sciences.

I am willing to look outside of Texas for college and soccer opportunities and am open to various locations throughout the United States.  To assist in my college search, I have attended several summer programs, including, Northwestern University ID camp in Chicago, New England Elite College ID at Dartmouth, Texas A&M, University of Texas and University of Colorado.

I am also committed to service work and have just recently returned from a school service trip to the Dominican Republic.  I am the President of the National Charity League - Texas Diamonds for 2019-2020 and I regularly volunteer at Cy-Fair Helping Hands (CFHH), which is a local food bank.  Even during this global pandemic, I have been working to support CFHH as much as possible by collecting food donations and creating Easter bags for children of families being assisted through the food bank.

Academically, I am an outstanding student, entering a full IB program next year for my junior and senior year.  I also played junior varsity volleyball (we only had a JV team) and have always been the first leg of the girls 4x100 relay for our track & field team.
