Hello!
As you already know, my name is Miranda Jimenez and I've been passionate about tennis for as long as I can remember. Because I've moved frequently due to my father's job, I know how to adapt myself to new places, to meet new people. I've lived in Colombia, Mexico and the US therefore, I can communicate in both English and Spanish, I can play on clay courts as well as hard courts. I'm an ardent athlete, I love the competitiveness of the sport within practices in every academy I've been in. The environment of having others thriving for improvement is very thrilling, striving to improve my technique, strategy and mental game will always be a part of who I am within the court.
I've had several challenges to overcome within my career for example, getting injured when I was 13 due to a huge mistake of mine from which I've learnt and allowed me to grow. It was very unfortunate that I couldn't play for 4 years but nevertheless I did my very best to stay in shape. I started to play tournaments at complete health this year, I'll do my best to make up for the time and numbers/ranking lost as I'm getting faster and stronger while I manage my time with my studies, preparing myself for college.
Why am I different? Because nothing comes to me easily, my legs are relatively short so I work for my mobility to be top notch, my time on tournament was held on hold for the longest time and I'm climbing back up and further, I work hard every day to improve every aspect within my game to have as many options on the court as well as mental strength with my sports psychologist. Additionally, from experience I know how to treat and prevent injuries quite well.
I would be honored to play for the team!
