Personal Statement

I believe I'm a good candidate for any team because of my work ethic and my ability to strive to be better and will not give up until I reach the goal I was looking for. I've been doing track since 5th grade and I love the competitiveness that comes with the sport. I didn’t always like track, but when my team won our first track meet along with me winning most of my events, I knew this was the sport I wanted to do forever. I was introduced to pole vault and my love for the mile in 5th grade and wasn’t the greatest, I have been working hard on both events and placed second in pole vault and 4th in the mile at state my freshman year. I currently hold the record for my school in pole vault. I am striving to hold the record for the mile but my aunt currently holds that record. Unfortunately I tore my ACL during basketball my sophomore year and then covid hit so we did not have a season. I am looking forward to getting back on track and aiming for new records.
