Personal Statement
Hello there! My name is Katherine Castano and I am 17 years old. I am a senior at Parsippany High School is New Jersey. I have been on the cross country, indoor and outdoor track teams since freshmen year. I have been on varsity every season and now I am captain. My passion is to run and I hope to keep my athletic career going in college. I plan to major in accounting, eventually earning my M.B.A and finally my CPA. Running for me is my stress reliever, my medicine when I have had a long, tough day. It is something I could do in a heart beat. I have tried karate, soccer, basketball, but none of those were for me. Somehow I tried out for cross country in 6th grade and it made me the runner who I am today. Life is too short not to take a couple risks and chances and I am glad I made the choice that I made.
