My name is Evelyn Veras and I am originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Ever since I was 5 years old I knew that I wanted to make my parents proud. In Puerto Rico, I played for the small leagues at my school Sacred Heart Private School. I have always been a role model to my siblings, Diego, Oliver, and Noelia. I knew from the bottom of my heart that volleyball was always something I would love and enjoy. It is a sport that brings my family together.
I am a libero for my Timber Creek High School Varsity team. I am a junior and will be graduating in 2014. My goals and expectations are clear, I want to play volleyball at a higher level after high school. It is my passion. I am willing to do whatever it takes to pursue my goals.
I want to go to college and pursue a career in political science, all while playing the sport that I love. All in all, my goals and dreams are to achieve a higher level of volleyball of any sort. My ultimate aspiration is to make my family proud.
