Personal Statement
Aloha ~ My name is Tiana Nihipali & I'm currently attending `Iolani School in Honolulu Hawai`i. I'll be graduating in June 2020.
In my early years, I attended a Hawai`i Charter school (until 6th grade) and then moved to a larger middle school. I was fortunate to start attending `Iolani School in the 9th grade. By attending a private school & becoming a student athlete, it has instilled some important values as a person. To work hard & never give up! I also realize things have to be earned and not taken for granted...To dedicate myself in everything that I do, especially in my school work where I am 4.0 GPA student, on the Dean's List & on my way to receiving my honors diploma.
I started playing volleyball when I was 9 years old. I have traveled to local tournaments in Hawai`i (O`ahu & Kaua`i), Orlando (AAU Volleyball Nationals), Las Vegas Classic & Arizona Volleyball Festival. I returned back to the Las Vegas Classic this year (February 2019) & recently participated in 3 showcases (PrepVolleyball in Vegas, Mauloa Collegiate Showcase & Hawai`i Combine in Honolulu, HI). This summer we participated in a double tourney/(2) tournaments in June 2019 (AAU Girls Nationals in Orlando & Arizona Volleyball Festival in Phoenix). My dream is to play Collegiate Volleyball, while earning my College Degree, too! Last year, I started playing Beach Volleyball, keeping myself active and my endurance level high!
Being from Hawai`i, I do everything with a big heart & full of ALOHA! Although on paper my height may look small, my approach is 9ft 4 in; which allows me to be a bigger player on the court!
I am a passionate all around team player, committed to hard work & I love this game of volleyball! You never have to worry about my commitment as a player & giving 110% to everything I do!
