My name is Jalynn Skaggs, and I am a 5'3" setter and defensive specialist from Minooka, Illinois. I am a junior at Minooka Community High School, where I play girls' volleyball. Additionally, I am a member of Eich's Volleyball Club (EVC) in Plainfield, Illinois. Don't let my height fool you—I may be small, but I am scrappy on the court. My agility and reading abilities allow me to excel in running a 6-2 offense. I have been told that my personality is big and shines both on and off the court.
Throughout my volleyball journey, I have been fortunate to have the support and guidance of excellent coaches, teachers, and parents. Their influence has helped me become a strong leader on and off the court. My love for volleyball drives my passion and commitment to my team, and my coaches continuously push me to learn and grow from every game. I have had the honor of serving as a four-year club captain and a two-year team captain at Minooka Community High School. My dedication and skills have also been recognized on a broader scale. I was included in the 2022 JVA Watchlist and the 2022 and 2023 AVCA Phenom Watchlist.
As of 4/28/2024, I am leading the season with 516 Assists surpassing my record for the prior season and 94 Aces!
