My name is Lexi Bell and I'm very interested in playing volleyball at a college level. I started playing volleyball in 2018 because my travel soccer team fell through and I had no where to go. I decided to give volleyball a try and turns out I really enjoyed it and I'm pretty good. I went on to play at a club level for Intensity vbc and I absolutely loved it. The energy is so positive and the sport just came naturally to me. I would like to continue to play in college because even though volleyball can be a very competitive sport, it makes me relieve stress and become happier. I believe that playing volleyball makes me stronger as a person because it makes me take initiative and become more confident.
I believe that I am a very kind person and I always put others before myself. I try to have a positive outlook on life and situations. I've always been the person on the team who pumps people up and picks them up when they are feeling down. I like to be the motivator and leader for a fun game. A few years ago I was nominated for Harford County's Most Beautiful which is an award for community service. I've been involved in community service my entire life and I don't plan on stopping. I love giving back to my community and to organizations that need help.
I'm in eighth grade so I'm not completely sure what I want to do in college but, I have an idea. I am going to do the biomedical science program at my high school and I later plan on becoming an orthopedic doctor or some type of doctor that deals with bone structure and repair. I would love to go to a college with a big campus that way I can meet new people and experience new things. I would prefer not to go to college too far away from my family because my family and I are very close. I hope that this statement about myself has helped you get a better understanding of me as a player and person.
