I'd like to play volleyball competitively at the collegiate level. I am fully committed, have a strong work ethic, and strive to be a better player. Since I've been playing club volleyball for the past 5 years, I know how to balance my time between academics and athletics. The commute time to get to my volleyball club is about 45 minutes each way, three times a week. Balancing athletics and a rigorous academic load has been challenging at times, but has made me more resilient and allowed me to grow as a person; I wouldn't trade the experience for anything in the world. I love playing volleyball because it's not just about me. Volleyball is about all the members on the team - how in-sync we are together, how we coordinate with one another, and how we support one another - on the court and off the court. As a player, I always appreciate feedback to incorporate in my play and to improve my technique. I learn quickly and have a positive attitude. I'm also very strategic, trying to stay one step ahead of the competition - looking for holes to place the ball that can win the point.
