Personal Statement
The volleyball court is where I am the most confident and focused. My constant need to improve both physically and mentally are unwavering. My mission in college is to grow as a person and an athlete. I want to major in Pre-Medicine or biology. I have chosen this major because I was raised by doctor's and nurses and plan on being a trauma surgeon one day. My main passion is to help people and be the best for the people around me. Outside of my academics I take part in the Salvation Army, student council, the Special Olympics, Mu Alpha Theta, Spanish Honor Society, National Honor Society and Future Business Leaders of America. Through my high school I also volunteer in our local "Give a Gift" and the "Raider Closet". Through our "Give a Gift" program I am entrusted to set up Christmas Trees with my fellow classmates and hang ornaments that have gift requests on them. Community members then choose the gift they wish to give and they are sorted and given to the child that requested them. The "Raider Closet" is a program that we just introduced this 2019-2020 school year. It is a safe place where students can go get toiletries, hygiene products, and even clothes without judgement. I love to give back to my community and try to be as involved as possible. I have a cumulative weighted grade of 100.48 and a GPA of 4.0. I scored an 1120 on my SAT, 590 in ERW and 530 on the math portion. I value my education very highly and aspire to be the best student I can be. In my junior year of high school I took three college courses and earned nine college credits. Throughout my senior year I plan to take two more college courses and graduate high school with a total of fifteen college credits. My main goal as a collegiate student athlete is to get the best education I can while playing the sport I love.
