Personal Statement

Hi there! My name is Callie Wince, and I am a 5’5 Senior at Spearfish High School in the Black Hills of South Dakota. I’ve been involved in multiple sports since I was 6 years old and I came to realize 4 years ago that my true athletic passion was volleyball. My goal is to play volleyball at the collegiate level while being able to pursue my college education. Academics has always been a high priority for me. In my Senior year I will be taking AP and dual credit courses. I consider being coachable and rising to the level required, regardless of my comfort zone, to be two of my greatest attributes. I also make it one of my priorities to be a positive, encouraging teammate and a leader, handling adversity as necessary. I see hardwork as a motivator and competition of the game as rewarding. I strive to improve my skills, whether those skills be related to volleyball, academics, or other parts of my life.
