Hi, my name is Prestyn Parish. I am in the freshman class of 2025, and I attend Conroe High School. One of my favorite things about myself is the energy I give on and off the court. On the court I am a very cheerful, positive, motivated person to be around. Off the court I still am the same way, people feel like they can come up to me and ask me questions or even start and conversation with me. One of my favorite memories of the 2021-22 school ball season was during tryouts when I got told by the varsity coach that "it is so much fun to watch you play because your energy never dies and you're so into the game itself", me being a little freshman that was the biggest compliment I had ever received. I have been playing volleyball and loving the sport for 7 years now. Growing up I saw my cousins play volleyball and that inspired me to be better and play like them. I played at the YMCA for around 4 years and just learning the basics of the sport, then in 2018 I went to Allegiance Volleyball and really started my volleyball journey. From there, my knowledge and love for the sport has only grown. I think of myself as a very competitive person, but my biggest competitor I think is myself. I don't think that is a bad thing but more of something to keep pushing myself and always improving. I like to set my expectations for myself high and my standards for myself even higher, that is one desirable trait about me. One of my biggest goals right now is to graduate and get a college scholarship and become a pediatric surgeon. My coach for club has always told me something that makes me stand out compared to other athletes is you can put me in anywhere and I will perform to my best ability while of course giving my all and enjoying the game. All throughout school I have always been one to keep my grades fairly high, I like to be able to go to school and give it my all and then come home and go practice my favorite sport.
