As of right now, I am not the best. Of course, I want to be the best, therefore, I will be coachable, supportive and communicative in order to be the best. It's hard to stand out as a libero because there's thousands out there passing dimes, I will understandably stand out by being the loudest on the court from being supportive. I strive to be the teammate where everyone feels trusting of me, to be sacrificing my body for balls, taking second and overall being up lifting. I never want to see a teammate with their chin down, it doesn't help with their composure and the team's. I truly believe I can lead any team to victory by challenging my teammates being the best volleyball player they can be.
At Annandale High School I was a 6-rotation outside. I prefer to be libero, but will play anything when needed. Being 5'6 and going against girls half a foot taller gave me an exiting challenge. I wanted to increase my vertical, learn how to tool blocks and time my hits. In which, I worked on and increase my vertical, had 1 block that was scored with, and 3 blocks in rallies. I received an All District Honorable Mention award, so next high school season's goal would make an All District Team. I as well play beach volleyball as a defender. I am not afraid to put a pair of hands up on the net! Don't underestimate my 5'6 self, for I have gotten a few block touches during spring/summer. I am looking forward to winning a 18u tournament for I have one 14u and 16u this summer. The way I will achieve winning an 18u is by challenging myself by going against big hitters in adult tournaments and asking for advise from coaches. This season at Oakton High School, I started as libero and received Second Team All District and I am looking forward to getting First Team All District next season.
Not only do I focus on volleyball, but I have my priorities in my education to all A's. I try to fit studying in my daily routine and read books to take time for myself.
I want to attend college where they will push me in the student part or student-athlete. I am open to all options in studies and playing competitively, and ultimately find the proper college for me. I look forward in being represented as a student-athete to make my parents proud.
