Ever since I started wrestling I have been in love with the sport, the amount of commitment, sacrifice, and hard work it takes to wrestle is incomparable to any other sports that I have tried. I love being out on the wrestling mat alone and not being able to rely on anyone else, I thrive on having all the weight on my shoulders. I feel that wrestling has taught me many life lessons, and a lot about leadership. I would definitely not be the person I am today if it was not for wrestling. I am always looking for a better challenge to further push myself, and I believe that is why I decided to pursue wrestling.
I have always striven to be better in everything I do; that is just how I operate in life, in the wrestling room, and in the classroom. Wrestling has taught me that working hard and pushing through difficult times will result in excellence. And I use that mindset with everything that I do, in high school I can't just be an average student, I need to work to be better and my goals are always set higher than the one I achieved before. As a state placer and a team captain I know I will meet and rise above the expectations of wrestlers on your team.
