Personal Statement
I have been playing football for a four years now and am looking forward to the opportunity to put in the hard work to continue to grow in my knowledge and abilities in this game that I grew to love from a young age. No other sport can compare to football, what you learn on a field both physically and mentally can be applied to many parts of your life. I became a team captain for my JV team. I have won defensive MVP three years in a row, junior of the year, linebacker of the year, and PCAL First Team All League Linebacker.
Currently, I am running track and weight training in order to stay in shape and get bigger and faster for next season. I fight everyday to exhibit leadership through example by working to get better, to improve, and encourage my teammates to join me. I love taking lead not only on the field but off the field. In the classroom I am trying my hardest in all my classes to get good grades because I value education. I am also part of the National Honors Society.
Apart from academics and athletics, I volunteer weekly with my youth group and am in my schools student government. In the long term, I hope to someday become a college football coach because of how much I love this sport and how I see it affect the lives of fellow teammates and myself. I have dreamed of becoming a college football player and hope to make that a reality soon. I am a hard worker, strive for excellence in everything I do, and value the lives of those around me.
