My name is Laura Meoli, I am 17 years old, and I am a 5'6 RHP/Utility player. I have been playing travel softball since I was 10 years old and my love for the game has grown as the years went on. My coaches and family have pushed me to become the player that I am today. As a player, I trust the decisions of my coaches and teammates. Communication with my teammates is key when I am playing the game. I am a well-rounded player both on and off the field. The personal friendships that I form with them help strengthen our teamwork when game time comes. I take my academic studies very seriously and must hold at least an overall GPA of 93 throughout each school year to maintain my scholarship. I am constantly thinking about my future and the steps I can take to achieve my goals.

Academic Accomplishments
Are you in honor classes?
Yes. I have taken Algebra, 2 years of English, G.A.T.E.S (engineering science), Trigonometry, Chemistry and Geometry Honors courses. I will take Pre-Calculus Honors this upcoming year. These classes will push the knowledge I have of the subject and move at a much faster pace than a regular class.Are you in AP/IB classes?
Yes. I have taken AP Biology, AP Seminar, and AP Psychology. I will be taking AP Research which is the second tier to AP Seminar where I will conduct my own research project with the help of a mentor from a university/college. I am also enrolled in AP Literature where I will read and analyze classical and interesting works of literature.Registered with the NCAA Eligibility Center?

- AwardsI have been a part of the Scholars Society in my school as well as being accepted into my school's chapter of the National Honors Society for the last two years. I am currently president of my school's chapter of National Honors Society.
- ActivitiesI am president of Fontbonne Against Cancer Club, which actively works to raise money and participate in charitable events for the benefit of cancer research and survivors, and a member of Students For Soldiers, which works to support our military and their families. I am the head of social publicity for my school's student council and work closely with the administration to ensure all events and information is shared and promoted to underclassmen and others who care for the school.
