Emily McCartney '25 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing volleyball since fourth grade and it has taught me joy, pride, determination, perseverance, and hard work. I aspire to play at the collegiate level to push myself and to continue playing the sport that I have dedicated so much time and work in. On and off the court I am encouraging and cheering on my teammates. On the court I make smart decisions on who I am going to set as well as being attentive to what is happening and the plays that are being made on the other side of the net in order to give my teammates the best advice possible to succeed.  I work hard to prove I deserve the time I have on the court and work even harder to gain more playing time. 

Whenever there is a chance to do anything volleyball related whether its playing with friends, competitive tournaments, beach doubles tournaments, coaching, or volunteering in my community I immediately offer up my time to teach other people getting into volleyball to love the sport. My determination and hard work is carried off the court and into the classroom which is shown by my high GPA. I strive to be the best student and athlete I can be.
