Growing up in a family of musicians never presented opportunities for me to play a sport. Despite that, I discovered my love for ice hockey when I was three years old. I started to play ice hockey when I was in 5th grade which was a later start than most people I played with. It was hard adapting at first and there were times when I felt like quitting, but I didn't want to give up. I practiced skating every week and results started to show. I ended up being one of the fastest players on my team. I plan on continuing playing ice hockey throughout high school and college.
I'm disciplined, flexible, cooperative and I'll work hard to get better. I hope to influence others that your choices aren't limited to the environment that surrounds you, but what you choose to surround yourself with.
