My name is Josie McCroskey. I am a sophomore at Springdale HarBer High School in Springdale, Arkansas. I have been a starter on a varsity level team beginning my 7th-grade year. I recently received the HarBer Wildcat Award for the outstanding player who exemplifies a hard worker, outstanding player, and teammate, coachable and eager, learner. Prep Volleyball names me as "one to watch" for the Class of 2022 in last year's assessment of the class. I am currently the Captain of my Club team, Ozark Juniors 16 Elite where I play Libero. I believe that my work ethic, character, and talent are what make me stand out among my peers.
I plan to pursue a degree in education in college with aspirations of becoming a teacher. I would like to also continue my love of volleyball by coaching a Club team and potentially a Jr. High or High School team. I have had exceptional coaches who have pushed me to be the best version of myself. Giving 100% in practice and in games is a trait which all of my coaches have commended me. Being true to my values and living my life as a Christian is extremely important to me. I know being an athlete is an honor and comes with great responsibility. I strive to exemplify God, in all I do, on and off the court. I believe that this also applies to my academics. I have been on the honor roll both years of high school with a cumulative GPA of 3.9. Sports have taught me time management and putting in the work. Playing volleyball year-round between high school and club season means I have to be organized and work around traveling and other responsibilities. These are all life skills I believe will help me in my life after school.
