My name is Zoie Cullison. I am 17 years old and have been playing volleyball since I was 11, and playing at a club level since age 13. Since the day I started playing, I knew volleyball was going to be the center and a major focus in my life. Since I was little, playing at the collegiate level has been my ultimate goal, and I have been and will continue to reach that goal.
I am currently a going into my senior season at South Oldham High School and have been playing on the Varsity team for three years now, and counting this year, four. As a freshman i started on the freshman team, JV, and Varsity team. I was also a sophomore starter on Varsity, as well as my junior year. For the past 4 years I have played for Union Volleyball Club in Louisville, Kentucky. I have earned my spot on a asics travel team and will continue to compete at this high of a level. I have secured a spot as an outside hitter, and a DS in club ball, and school as well. I am a very scrappy, coachable player. I have a high volleyball IQ and am very focused on the court. I am very engaged in the game, and am very loud on the court. I do what i can to keep my teammates and myself involved and I can get along, and play well with anyone that I have been aligned with.
I am recognized on the court as being an athletic and smart player. During the course of my junior year, I have played every position as a front row player, but I have been sticking with being an Outside hitter/ DS. This advantage, along with having very talented and experienced coaches has allowed my mindset to grow and I have been able to see every aspect of the game more and more every day.
Academically, I as of right now maintain a 3.65 GPA, and am working right now to a 4.0. I am a part of many AP, and advanced classes, and continue to work hard at whatever challenges I may face academically. I am a very organized student, and put forth a lot of my time into schoolwork. As of a college, education will always be my main priority, I am looking more towards a engineering degree, and I want what’s best education wise, and the best fit for my environment.
I want to attend a college where my academic and athletic performance are my main focuses and priority. I am open to any offers, and collegiate options, but I hope to find the college that will best fit me, and play at the highest level possible. I want to make a difference in my community and the girls on the court as well.
