My parents signed me up for a volleyball day camp when I was in 6th grade, I knew then it was a sport I wanted to concentrate on. Having played basketball for 3 years, I understand what it means to be a great teammate. I have the work ethic and drive to succeed at anything and will always put in the time to achieve my goals.
Starting on my high school varsity volleyball team as an 8th grader was such a wonderful experience. It helped me recognize what challenges I would face in the future and which parts of my game I really needed to improve on. I also realized how difficult it can be to maintain the high academic goals that I set for myself. I’ve learned from my parents how important these academic goals are not only in middle school and high school, but college as well. I am very excited about this journey and can’t wait to see where it takes me.
