Hi, my name is Michaela, and I’m really passionate about volleyball! I’m starting my sophomore year of high school and I’d love to be on your radar to join your women’s volleyball team in college. I started playing volleyball in 7th grade on my middle school team, and immediately after that season I joined a club travel team (HardRock Volleyball) and haven't looked back. I’ve always loved playing in regional USA Volleyball and AAU tournaments. One of my favorite memories is when I was 14 and I got asked to join our club's 18U team for the Boston Regional Qualifiers because they were short players due to injury and vacations. I was so excited to start on that team and quickly fit in and helped them win more matches in that tournament than they had all year!
I’ve become a really good outside hitter, although I started as an opposite side hitter in my first year of club volleyball. I’ve always been a starter and I play the full rotation because I’m strong both in attacking and defending. I’ve won coaches’ awards in both middle school and high school, which I’m really proud of. To stay in shape and improve my skills, I work out on my own, go to open gyms, play in local pick-up leagues, and attend camps.
I believe I can really help any team I’m on. I’m known for bringing smiles to my teammates' faces and keeping everyone positive, even during tough matches. I always stay focused and give my best effort, no matter what’s happening in the game. Besides my skills, I think my positive energy and team-oriented attitude would be great for any team’s spirit and bonding. I’m excited about the chance to be part of a competitive team in college where I can keep growing as a player and as a person. Please feel free to reach out to me!
