When I decided to try out for travel/club volleyball I never imagined K2 would become my second home, surrounded by friends and coaches that I now consider family. At twelve years old I decided to put competitive swim of the back burner and concentrate all my energy and effort on volleyball. Now, in my sixth year of elite travel volleyball, I know I made the right decision.
Led by an incredible coach and captain, who I consider to be one of my greatest mentors, my seasons as a Webb High School Spartan have proven an invaluable experience. K2 has allowed me to grow yearly as an elite player, as our team strives to take the podium this year at nationals.
When you love something and are passionate about it in life, the journey is a never ending adventure. I have experienced this in volleyball, my advanced sailing, master scuba diving, and my academic career. I believe the foundation that volleyball has provided me in leadership, time management, and perseverance will prepare me for my future career in the medical field. I have learned that surrounding myself with positive role models and mentors has helped shape me into a leader that desires to excel in all aspects of my life. I am confident this desire will bring me to a school that fits my athletic, academic, and personal goals.
