I have played volleyball since I was 11. The first time I touched a volleyball I knew I wanted to play. I want to challenge myself in college, and continue to play the sport I love.
My last middle school season started out rocky with the night before our season opener I fractured my finger at my travel softball practice. I didn't let is stop me though. Instead I was determined to play and my coach and I wrapped my finger. That season we went into our PVL tournament and got 2nd place as the 4th seed.
I have a 4.0 out of 4.0 gpa in middle school, and I am taking 2 high school classes. I am in National Junior Honor Society. My strong work ethic in the classroom carries over to the court.
The most important thing to me is finding the right place for me to further my education. I want to continue after my athletic career to become a sports broadcaster.
I need a coaching staff and teammates who develop a caring, positive environment for me to come into on days that are challenging for me. I will continue to develop that kind of environment for my teammates, so they can feel safe talking to me.
