Personal Statement
My name is Breanna "Bre" Beach and I will graduate from Grant County High School in 2022. When I was 8 years old my mom took me to a high school softball game and from the first pitch I was hooked. It didn't take me long to decide that I want to play the game I love beyond high school. I have played club ball since I was 10 years old and I am confident that the hard work I put into my skills led me to become, as a 7th grader, a starter on my former school’s JV team, a member of the Varsity team, and Student-Athlete of The Year 2018. I was blessed enough to help my Varsity team win The Kentucky 8th Region All A tournament. That experience with my team is something that will drive me to greatness for the rest of my life. This pushed me to work harder and set bigger goals for myself allowing me the opportunity to be my Varsity Teams starting pitcher/2nd baseman as an 8th grader and a starting pitcher/1st baseman for my 14U club team, KAOS based out of Newport, Ky. I have recently embarked on a new journey with a new travel team Kentucky Aftershock. I am very excited to play with such a competitive team with players who are also chasing their dream to play at the college level.
I am lucky enough to attend a high school that also has a tech school where I am able to take Health Science classes. These classes will give me an advantage when I attend nursing school. I am aware of how much hard work it will take to play softball and take nursing classes but hard work does not scare me. I love being active and when not playing basketball or softball I spend my free time working out at my local gym and doing hitting, pitching, and fielding drills in my back yard with my younger brother who plays baseball. I believe, not only my talent but my drive, work ethic, and determination will be a great asset to any College team I am privileged enough to be a member of. I strive every day to be a better athlete and student than I was the day before.
