Personal Statement
My goals in life is to be the best I can be in anything I put my mind to. I have a strong work ethic, which makes me stand out and heart which I am determined to succeed in life. I've been dribbling a ball since I was eight years old and have been practicing and always looking to get better and look for advice from those who have experience and know what they're talking about. I am humble before my team and my peers , I know that I have what it takes to play ball and make it to college and hopefully play in the WNBA. I ask for help when needed , rather it's on the court or in class I have withstanded a 3.4 GPA all three years of highschool and always looking to improve my grades through studying , going to after school tutoring and missing practice for it. I put my grades before sports and make sure that I'm getting everything done before I play anything. I am a nice and genuine person and I give help when needed and I especially work with my teammates on and off the court , I try to lead my team and peers by example. My principal has said in his own words that he needs more people like me when I was about to leave the school because of sports. He said I don't just care about you playing sports here I care about you as an individual and how you represent this school. I knew then that I could be a leader, and I all I want in life is to be happy ,play basketball and just provide for my family like they've provided for me. This is what makes me stand out and my passion for the game , is bigger than me just getting points for myself and not including my team in anything and saying that I score majority of the points and that they're nothing without me. I love it so much that I humble myself before them and God and pray that we all get better everyday and that I can do the best job I can do to help my team be successful. This is why I stand out.
