Personal Statement

My name is Jacob Hudson, I am 6'3 and weigh 190 lbs. I have played recreational baseball since I was six years old and it has always been my dream to play at the college level, preferably at the University of Tennessee. While I lived in England I made the All Star team that represented the country in Little and Junior League regional tournaments for three years in a row. The first two tournaments our team came in second place, once to Saudi Arabia and the next to Ukraine. The third year our team beat Italy to advance to the Junior League World Series in Taylor, Michigan. My sophomore year in high school I started as a utility player, playing mainly pitcher and second base for Lakenheath High School's varsity team. I was voted co-captain, and made the All-Tournament team during the European championship tournament. I aspire to be a physical education teacher so I can go back overseas and work as a teacher. Through DODDS I could help the high school students reach their potential in sports, which will help them be more successful in getting recruited. I am open to any opportunity that comes my way to play collegiate baseball.
