Personal Statement
"No maybe I can't win. Maybe the only thing I can do is just take everything he's got. But to beat me he's gonna have to kill me, and to kill me he's gotta have the guts to stand in front of me, and to do that he's gotta be willing to die himself."-Rocky Balboa, ROCKY IV. This quote explains exactly how I conduct myself on the field. When I am going to practice I have a mind set and goals of what should be done at the end of the day and if I didn't get it done, that was a wasted day. One thing I will never do is give up, I was taught since I was 5 years old to give 110% every play and play every play like it is your last, and that is exactly how I play. When ever I step onto a football field it is strictly business, and I look forward to Friday night all week, because there is not any feeling in the world that can amount to being underneath those lights with the roar of the crowd, it sends a chill down my spine, and I love it. It doesn't matter who is in front of me I am going to hit them in the mouth, we can be friends outside of school, but for those next 48 minutes, its time to go to work, if you have a different colored jersey on I am coming after you. I am a energizer bunny on the field. I am the one in the middle getting every one pumped up, I lead by example, so I try to do my best in everything and I always give my best. I feed off of the crowd and team also, I love after I make a big hit and you just hear the "oooooooooooooohhh" it tingles my whole body. I have been playing tackle football since I was five years old and I love everything about the game. My freshman year of High School I won defensive MVP. My freshman spring I was no longer with kids just my age, I was with the big boys, and I proved myself. I started every game as a sophomore and I won Rookie of The Year. I was one vote away from second team all-conference and the fact that I was so close but yet so far makes me hungry, hungry for something even bigger. I expect to be the leader not only of the defense but a leader of the whole team this year and I expect others to step-up as well. It is my dream to play football at a collegiate level. I would play anywhere, just as long as I get to play. I would prefer to be close to my mom for college, but we both understand that I will go where ever I am offered. I am a decent sized kid standing at 6'2 weighing in at 205 pounds, I run a 4.85 40 yard dash never over a 4.9. I can offer a team everything, I can be a leader, I can push people to there limits, just how I would expect my fellow teammates to do to me, and I guarantee that I will get the team pumped up for every game, and if they don't get a chill down they're spine before the game even starts, then they are playing the wrong sport. In college I would most probably choose to major somewhere in the field of business or I would like to do something like be an athletic trainer or do anything related to sports. I am a fun person to be around, and I am easy to talk to. I respect everyone. I am just an easy going down to earth person, and I get along with every body.
