Derek Zak '13 Recruiting Profile

First, I love the game of football. I always have. Most kids have stuffed animals when theyâ??re little; I held a football thatâ??s the way Iâ??ve always been. Naturally, playing college football would mean the world to me and as far as Iâ??m concerned I will do whatever it takes to accomplish that goal. As of now I am a 6â??1, 160 lb rising sophomore. My eighth grade year I was team captain and MVP. I like to be the first one at practice and the last one to leave. I work hard to put in the most reps I can and give every ounce of energy I have. I value the time I spend with my head coach Billy Glenn and the relationship with my teammates. My team is my family and just like my family at home I want us to succeed. Iâ??m a winner and a competitor. I donâ??t like to lose. Whether itâ??s football or a card game Iâ??m a competitor. Like I said earlier I want to play college football. With that I donâ??t have a specific area that I am looking at the most, I just want to play and am open to different types of schools. I would like to major in architectural engineering but am not limiting myself. The one thing I want you as a coach to know about me is that I word hard. I will do whatever I need to do to be apart of your team, I will do everything I can to be the best at my position, and I will do whatever it takes to be a winner.
