Personal Statement
My name is Malcolm Johnson. I am 6'4, 300 pounds, and I have an intense passion for the greatest game God ever created, football. I am 16 years old and have just started my junior year. This is my second year on varsity. I took many snaps as a sophomore to gain experience, and now I am proud to say that I am now a full starter. I am a very powerful and active guard. To me there is no greater feeling then running at someone full speed and flattening them. To me the keys to being a lineman are being tough enough to challenge anyone that lines up across from you, and being smart enough to rescind anything the defense will throw at you. Being called soft is the worst insult I can receive. After high school I plan to continue to play football by any means necessary. I would prefer to attend a larger university, but I understand that smaller colleges can also have a lot to offer. No matter where I go I plan to do the same thing, make a name for myself and my team, and step up and lead a group of championship caliber athletes. In college I’d like to study physical therapy or sports journalism, but it has always been my dream to achieve a full understanding of football and become a head coach. My high school head coach would always say "football is a rough tough sport meant to be played by rough tough people". I've been playing this game since i was five years old. That should tell you what kind of difference I can make on any team.
