Personal Statement

Hi, my name is Tyler Janczak. I play on the varsity team for Metea Valley High School in Aurora, Illinois. My main position is left guard, but I have also played left and right tackle, center and defensive tackle. I am six feet two and a half inches tall. I weigh 255 pounds. I have run the forty yard dash with my best time clocked at 5.3. My max bench is 270. I can rep. 225 pounds eight times. I have started for all of my high school games. My freshamn year I was brought up to the sophomore team for the last three games of the season. My junior year I received All-Conference honorable mention. I consider myself a driven individual. i am always looking to improving myself as a player. I welcome challenges, they are what make me work harder. i am slao dedicated to my team, willing to do whatever I can to make my team successful. During the football season my goal is to go everyday to practice to perfect myself as a player for my team. I practice as if i was in a game. Even during walk through practices when we are supposed to be working at fifty percent, I go all out because I feel I need to perfect the plays that I will be using in a game. The other Offensive linemen look to me for leadership and motivation. My coaches know that they can count on me to lead my teammates even when the game is difficult or seems to be lost. I am always there to get them motivated. In the off season you can find me in the weight room to improve my strength, and at the track working on speed and mobility. I am open to a school anywhere in the United States that is strong in academics and has a competitive football team. I am looking to major in history and secondary education with a special education minor. I am also open to any size school, big or small. As a football player coming into my first year of college, my goals would be any or all of the following: starting as a freshman, competing at the highest level, being a team leader and making an impact on my team.
