D'Shawn Etienne '12 Recruiting Profile

My  name is D'Shawn Etienne my team refers to me as Deezy and I believe that I'm destined for greatness.In the future I want to study sociology and psychology. I am a 5'10 ~ 185 lbs first year running back. Going into my junior year I only played special teams(kick off) but knowing that my high school career was coming to a close I decided to follow in my father's footsteps and play running back. It was new to me and I started the season off slow but through hard work and the help of my team I led the offense with thirteen touchdowns and 985 rushing yards. For my senior year I plan on doubling my stats and topping it off with a 2A state championship for my team and school. Honestly I just want to play football...period. I don't care how hard I have to work because I'm the type of person to get the job done. Personally I like having people rely on me, I'm willing to help and to pick up any cross. I only started playing football my freshman year and I wish I started sooner, but to me my inexperience is just more motivation to get better. My team voted me most improved in 2009 and 2010 offensive MVP. I'm in multiple social groups in my community and from this I learned who I really am and what a leader truly is.
