Zachary Hume '13 Recruiting Profile

  My name is Zack Hume and I am a Junior Linebacker at Nashoba Regional High school in Massachusetts. I am 6'1, 225lbs and I run a 4.69 40 yard dash. At the end of my freshman year, all of the graduating seniors (as well as others in the area) told the underclassmen at my school that we would not do well in the next season. We ended up 10-3 with a loss in the super bowl to St. john's. I am very proud of the fact that we proved them wrong and brought back Nashoba's program to where it used to be. My Junior season my team achieved its very first undefeated season. We achieved a 13-0 perfect season and we are looking to do it again in the upcoming 2012 season. 
   My drive comes from several different places. First of all I want to be able to get a free, good education in kinesiology with the help of football. Second of all I can not stand when people tell me that football in Massachusetts is not anywhere near as good as in the southern states. I want to prove people wrong. Also, football is my passion. It is my absolute favorite thing to do and it is my dream to play in college.
   The location or size of a college does not matter to me as long as it provides a good kinesiology course and has a good football program. I will go anywhere that would benefit me the most.
   As I stated before I would like to major in kinesiology because I am very interested in how the human body works and I feel as if it would benefit me in the long run so i can have a better knowledge of how to stay healthy and in shape. Also kinesiology would allow me to find a profession that I really would enjoy. 
   A goal that I have set for myself athletically is to just play football to my greatest potential at a collegiate level. Another goal i gave set for myself is to obtain a 3.3 GPA by the end of my Junior year.
