My name is Sam York. I am currently a Senior at Marblehead High School in Marblehead, MA. I am 6'1" / 217. However, I am still growing and I think I can play at 230+ in college. I have attended many special teams camps and rank high nationally in all of the snap camps I have attended. I currently rank #2 nationally with Ray Guy Prosnapper and I am ranked as a ****4.5 star long snapper with Kohls. On December 22, 2013, I won the Ray Guy National Long Snapping Championships in Bradenton FL.  Snapping is something I practice every day throughout the year and I work hard in the weight room as well.

I am a Long Snapper, but also play offensive center and defensive tackle. I have been long snapping since I was in 8th grade and I have never had an unsuccessful long snap in hundreds of attempts. My dream is to snap in college and to get a quality education.

I had a very successful high school junior year snapping, connecting on all 21 long snaps and 40 of 41 extra point snaps. This season, I am perfect in all of my snaps. My time was recently recorded at a Kohls camp as .75 average for fifteen 15 yard snaps with a best of .71.

Academically, I consider myself a very dedicated student. Since freshman year I have taken mostly all honors courses and this year I am taking AP courses in Math and Physics. I enjoy the challenge of school and look forward to a mechanical engineering college career path. Recently I completed the SAT exams for the third time and scored a 710 in math and 630 in writing and 630 in critical reading. Last year I was Magna Cum Laude in the National Latin Exam.

If a career in Pro football does not pan out I hope to make my mark in the world by designing efficient power trains for automobile usage.
